In 2013, The Minnesota State Legislature created a State Health Insurance Exchange called MNSURE to comply with the Affordable Care Act. MNSURE has had some flaws like customer service and website issues like long waits and website errors while signing up for health insurance policies. As of May, Over 220,000 people have enrolled in MNSURE stated by The Minnesota Budget Policy. MNSURE does help low-income families and individuals receive the proper health insurance. Would I repeal MNSURE? No. I believe we should continue finding methods to fix MNSURE to allow more competition and lower costs in the Insurance Exchange Market while providing medical assistance and low cost health care plans to those who are need.
